Blackberry 4.1.5 (SP5) and Remote Mailbox Search

To use the new Feature "Free Time Search" you need the Blackberry Server with Service Pack 5 (download http://www.blackberry.com/support) and the Handheld OS Level 4.5 or higher (download from your TelCo)

That's all.


But it takes a while until the feature is enabled (showed) on the handheld (a few hours on our BES system)

If open the search option in the blackberry handheld mailbox you will see in the first line "Search Type" with the local or remote option

The remote option will search in all mails in your mailbox on the domino server. Important the server mailbox must be full test indexed (maximum Hits: 100 per search )!

The remote search also higher blackberry server utilization.
