Only language versions of release 5.0.12 Lotus Notes Enduser Client available in all major Languages.
- IBM Lotus Notes client users will have a fully translated client experience.
- For release 5.0.12 the IBM Lotus Domino Server, IBM Lotus Domino Designer and Administrator will be available in English.
- Lotus Notes client users can replace the design of existing templates with translated 5.0.12 design to take advantage of 5.0.12 template fixes.
- A server administrator can copy the translated templates from a translated 5.0.12 client to the server template directory - and force a design refresh.
- As part of the Enduser Client kit we will deliver the IBM Lotus Domino Web Access (formerly iNotes Web Access) templates in 18 languages (no Arabic or Hebrew). A server administrator can copy these translated templates to the server installation directory - to provide translated Domino Web Access 5.0.12 support.
- Customers can use some of the content of the client delivery to convert an English 5.0.12 server into a localized 5.0.12 server. A localized server is an English server with translated templates, and several other translated files - which provides an end user a translated user experience. Refer to the
5.0.12 Client Release Notes for configuration instructions.
- Enduser clients do receive some of the
ir UI from the server - specifically the Public Name and Address book. A translated 5.0.12 Pubnames.ntf will ship as part of the translated 5.0.12 client deliverable. A server administrator can copy this translated template to the server template directory - to enhance the translated client experience.
- Clients who access Notes templates from a browser receive their UI from the server (eg names of days, months, some folders etc.) Several translated server files will ship as part of the translated 5.0.12 Client. A server administrator can copy these translated files to the server installation to enhance the translated client experience.
- Customers who need to run Administrator with a translated UI may choose to run the 5.0.11 Administrator.
